Piano Man

Guess what???
I WON TICKETS TO GO SEE BILLY JOEL ON DECEMBER 4TH!!!!

I know! I am having an amaing streak of luck lately. I can't believe it. Yes, it was a radio contest, LOL! One of the local stations is doing this promo where every time they play a Billy Joel song you register to win tickets online. They give away 1 pair with each song play. Then all the winners are put in a drawing and one winner will actually get upgraded to FRONT ROW SEATS plus a limo service to the venue and dinner at some swanky restaurant downtown!! That would be sooooo amazing. I've never sat first row at any concert. I've always been a nosebleed-section kind of concert goer.

I updated the remaining pictures from the pumpkins on my Flickr account. I didn't get up close photos of all 35 pumpkins, sorry, but I got pictures of all the really good ones. Someone asked if I had a photo of the whole yard too, so I put that at the bottom of this post. I don't know that I captured all 35 in a single shot, but I got close. Also, my stepdad made a fun little movie of the pumpkins so I posted it on YouTube. It's my first video upload. View if you wish. I thought he did a nice job. I was also asked how I got such clear pictures of my pumpkins...no flash, hold the camera steady or use a tripod. Some people like to have a little light behind the pumpkin so you can actually see the outline or the whole thing, but I prefer to just capture the carved image. You know what a pumpkin looks like, and I think the image just floating in the black space makes it look cool. Most of the photos we took in the laundry room with no windows and all the lights out except the candle inside the pumpkins.

Tonight we had a game night with 8 other couples from church. We had a lot of fun! If you don't ever get together with friends and plan games, I highly suggest you try it some time. We laugh the entire night and always come away from them with a few inside jokes. We played Catch Phrase, which I had never played before but was quite fun.
