In a kitchen far, far away...

I used my new Star Wars cookie cutters today. I'll just be honest here - I have zero royal icing piping skills. I've never attempted it, and while I'm sure with enough practice I could probably manage just fine, but there is a certain 2'2" chick in the house who just doesn't give me time for stuff like that.

I also didn't want to just make boring sugar cookies. Ok, I know Yoda will never be boring, but he needed some color. So I improvised. I made up my cookie dough, divided it into 4 bowls, and used my icing colors. Yoda was to be green, Boba Fett will be blue, Darth Vader should be black but I didn't have black icing dye so I mixed a lot of brown and purple to come up with a color that I would be satisfied with, and for the Storm Troopers I left the dough plain since they don't make white icing dye."Luke...." ok, sorry, I'll stop.Yoda turned out to by the cutest, as I assumed he would be.Here's what each looked like when they were baked:Not bad I think. Of course they would look a lot cooler had I been able to go the distance and pipe the details, but for a bunch of rowdy 8 and 9 year old boys I think these will be a hit just as they are.
