Confession time

So I have a small confession. I've already admitted this to my husband and three of my best girlfriends, so it's for real. After I reveal my confession, you'll probably think it's no big deal and feel somewhat let down. Are you ready? You don't even need to be sitting down for this one....

I want a minivan.

Yep. I have now confessed this to 4 people and the whole world wide web. Not that the whole world wide web reads my blog...but if they did they would now know that I want a minivan.

Why is this such a big deal, you may be wondering? Well my Dad, who does read my blog, is probably chuckling and recalling a time in my life when I vowed, on several occasions, that I would never drive a minivan. I was a teenager. Teenagers say really dumb things.

This overwhelming desire to own a minivan hit me on Wednesday when I went grocery shopping with Kate. We ended up going to three different stores, and by the time we were heading home I had bags of groceries piled on the stroller in the back of the Pathfinder, bags piled in the backseat, and bags in the front seat that were sitting on top of a case of bottled water. It was ridiculous.

Forget taking another couple with us anywhere. Kate's car seat is so large that it makes it very uncomfortable for more than one person to sit back there with her. It's crazy. Basically I just want more room.

Since both of our cars are paid off, we do not want anything that comes with payments. Brand new minivans are expensive! No, the plan is to sell the Pathfinder and use that money to buy a used minivan.

When I confessed to Nick that I wanted a minivan, you know what he thought? He thought this was my way of telling him I was pregnant! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

No, no way honey. Not now.

I'm shocked! At least now you'll have plenty of room for #2 when it's time! ;)
