Kate spent a lot of time wet on the 4th of July, and I'm not talking about her diaper! She played in her little blue pool at yiayia's house with Uncle Trey, then we all went down to the community pool for a little while, and that evening after we got home I let her run around in the sprinkler while I watered the back yard. I think it's pretty fitting, considering it was so hot here.We ate a ton of good food for the holiday, of course. We had BBQ, corn on the cob, rolls, baked beans, hot dogs, cherry pie, brownies, banana split cake, home made peach ice cream, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Do take note of my completely awesome USA cherry pie though. Ignore the oozing cherry juices and the cracked A. Pretty cool, huh?
