Hooks/Korte Disney Vacation: Magic Kingdom

Ah, home. Magic Kingdom, the happiest place on earth. Going into the day, we had a bit of a plan that morning to try and hit the line for Anna and Elsa first thing since we didn't get a Fastpass for it. By the time we got back to them, we realized our plan wasn't going to work. The line was already at an hour wait. So we moved to step 2, which was to find something else to ride that hadn't built up a line. What we should have done was run off to Tomorrowland, Adventureland, or Frontierland because everyone and their mother was hanging out in Fantasyland with us. We ended up on It's a Small World for the girls.

Kate did so much better this trip with riding rides and not being afraid. We brought along some noise-canceling ear muffs for her to wear since she doesn't like loud noises. They seemed to act like her magic feather - she could do anything! Hooray for those.

In all, we ended up riding a ton of rides! We hit up (either all of us or various members of our group) Dumbo a few times, the Astro Orbitor, Barnstormer, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, People Mover, Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World a couple of times, Haunted Mansion, Magic Carpets, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Mad Hatter's Teacups, Prince Charming's Carousel, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Enchanted Tiki Room, Space Mountain, and walked through the Swiss Family Treehouse.
We had lunch at Be Our Guest in Beast's castle again, which is my favorite place to eat in Disney World now. We had some Lefou's Brew from Gaston's Tavern, and for dinner we ate at Pecos Bill's in Frontierland.
We didn't really meet many characters during the daytime because we were so busy riding rides. Our first character meet was Gaston, because I had to meet him. He's hilarious and very interactive with everyone. We kept checking by the Princess Fairytale Hall to see if Anna and Elsa's line was any shorter. At one point, the wait time was posted at 160 minutes. That was insane and I began to panic a little bit, because it was very important for Kate to meet them. I knew if we waited until park close, we might get our chance, so with 30 minutes left in the day we walked by and the line attendant told us it was only 30 minutes so we got in line. It went way faster though, so we hopped over to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel while we were there as well. Kate also got to meet Ariel this trip, in her grotto. We did that during the fireworks while most people were out on Main St for that.

Today's Character Count: Gaston, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Anna, and Elsa
