Happy Birthday, Harry Potter

Did you know today was Harry's birthday? I'm not sure what birthday this is...I mean, I don't remember what year Harry was supposed to be born. I'm sure if I looked on one of the 1,388 fan pages out there I could find out, but I really don't need to know that badly. If you want to know, then you can look on MuggleNet.

One of the challenges over at AASC recently was to use the following quote in a lay-out:

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination
encircles the world.
You could either use the quote in its entirety, partially, or just follow the basic idea. I decide to use it in all its glory alongside a self-portrait I did that actually was taken updside-down, not just placed that way on my page.

I think it came out to be one of the cutest pages I've done in a while. It's super-simple, but I like it just the same. The paper is
from the Bohemia line and I simply adore it. Just wanted to share.
It's been a quiet 2 days at the office. The phones are not ringing much. We've pretty much been sitting here staring at each other and trying to fill the day with internet surfing. So far I've managed to buy some clearance chipboard shapes and read up on the news articles that seemed interesting but mostly turned out not to be.

This past weekend I took my husband down to my former congregation for their 40th anniversary celebration. I hadn't seen everyone down there in the 3 years since I moved away and none of them had evver met Nick. It was a fun weekend; very nice to see old familiar faces and enjoy some good fellowship. I feel very fortunate to have so many people in various places that I know care about me and want me to be happy.

I'm in dire need of a fill for my nails. Maybe I should take care of that today on the way home from work. I'm sure we'll leave early again; there's just not enough here to keep us until 5.
