This is about all I could manage with my point-n-shoot. My camera is great, most of the time, but photos like this require a little more knowledge of photography than I possess. I was looking through some of the photos on Flickr today that others took...pretty stunning images.
I didn't even go back to sleep after Nick left. I kissed him goodbye around 5:15 and headed back in the house and crawled back in bed. Since I was pretty much awake and decided to take advantage of this by vacuuming my bedroom and the hallway. Then I changed into some exercise clothes and walked on the treadmill before I ate some breakfast and took my shower. It was a pretty nice morning.
To answer the question you probably just asked in your head, no, I do not plan on getting up extra early every morning to do this again, LOL. I was so tired when I got home today I took a nap, which I never do because naps make me feel terrible. I always get a really bad headache after I take a nap, which I'm currently trying to manage right now.
Only 3 more days for the picture of the day...I'm quite proud that I've managed to keep it going all month long. On Friday we leave for Denver for Labor Day weekend. We're meeting Nick's Dad, stepmom and sisters there for the weekend. I'm quite looking forward to our trip. I think we're planning on going to the Royal Gorge Bridge, Pikes Peak, and the Denver Aquarium for sure. Fun stuff - I should come home with a ton of new photos.

Yeah, I fouled up the picture a day thing early on. But I wish I could have another shot. I wonder if they will do another thread on ST?

lol i kno how early 4:30 is...i'm up everymorning at that time unless i hit the snooze button...lol.
but soon my summer hours will change and i'll be able to stay in bed until 5:30...yay.
Nice pic, i hadn't a clue that there was going to be an eclipse...i'd like to see a solar eclipse, but i'd settle for lunar...lol.
I'd also like to see a meteor shower, there was supposed to have been one recently...i beleive the day of or before my birthday. 8/13. but i wasn't able to see it as i live in a city as well so it's basically impossible to see the sky very clearly.
