It's too hot to pump gas.

I took today's pic while driving down the road. Shhh! Don't tell the po-po! I had to get gas after work. I don't think anyone should have to pump gas when it's this hot outside. Ugh. As if fueling your car isn't annoying enough with the smell of exhaust and gasoline, add heat which seems to intensify that odor and you've got a pretty miserable 10 minutes. All for $33.72. Joy.

I haven't mentioned any progress on the diet as of late, so let me fill in you on this little tidbit - I'm down 10 pounds and pretty proud of that. It's not a huge dent in what I want to lose but it's a start! I'm just happy to be in double digits now, even though just barely. I'm trying to be good and walk on the treadmill at least 5 days a week. DH has yet to assemble the AB-doer machine so I still don't know what it does. I need to get him to do that soon. I hear it works better if you actually use it.

I added a little slide show at the bottom of my page today - do you like it? These are some of my more recent lay-outs along with some oldies that are my favorites. As I create new and wonderful things I guess I'll change out what's scrolling through.

I totally agree! Today I paid $35. for the priviledge of standing on hot pavement holding my breath to avoid breathing in those awful vapors. To be honest though, it wasn't as bad as pumping it when the wind-chill is 20 below zero and you're sure that you're going to die before getting back in the car!!

Congrats on the weight-loss!! That's great - takes a lot of will power. :-)

Congrats on the weight loss :) And tell me about the heat - St. Louis broke a record with 105 degrees today. It was hard to even take a breath!

I'm lucky, my hubby pumps the gas for me. :O)
