It's a weird feeling to know that today is the last day I will be wearing these glasses. I'm not sure I even know how that feels. I don't remember not wearing glasses or contacts. I've had them since I was 7 or 8...something like that. Wow. I need to take a picture tonight and then tomorrow without. Not that I don't know what I look like without, but you know, it's for posterity...and scrapbooking.
I've been reading blogs and people's experiences with PRK. Some have complained of pain or scratchiness, other's not-so-much. I'm hoping to be on of the not-so-much people. I would prefer to not have to deal with that. We'll see. I will be updating you tomorrow - I am hoping to give a day-by-day of my PRK experience. I've really enjoyed reading other's, so I hope to be one of those that people can read and either freak out and feel more relaxed about.
Since it seems to be the only thing being talked about on the radio today, I will go on record to say that I did not watch the MTV VMAs last night because I have better things to do with my time, like playing solitaire. I did catch Britney's performance on YouTube today though, and I must say that watching her make a fool of herself and pretty much put the final nail in her career's coffin was highly amusing. I'm not a fan.

Hi Brandi,
I know that your PRK blog is old now but I thought I’d drop you a line because today is also my last day in glasses! PRK tomorrow – eek! It’s been really encouraging to read your blog and has given me realistic expectations. It seems that lots of drops and patience are the key to success! I’m glad your eyes are still good 3 years later. (At -8, I’m even worse than you were – but hopefully not for long!) I’m really nervous and hoping it will all be worth it.... Thanks again for your blog, Amy
