Seriously?

Halloween is barely over - I still have yet to put my fake pumpkins back in the attic, and Best Buy is already showing Christmas commercials during the football game today. UGH. Aren't we going to have enough Christmas tree filled advertisements in the coming month?? Do you really need to start NOW? It's not like I'm going to forget to purchase Christmas gifts. I know when Christmas comes - it is the same time every year.

Speaking of that, I've always wondered what is wrong with people who are Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. It's like the all of the sudden realized that Christmas is tomorrow and they need to buy a gift. You know what? If you put so little thought into my gift that you didn't run out to buy it until the day before Christmas, you should probably just save your money and give me a card that says "Sorry I forgot about you. I am a loser." I love the people who use the excuse that Christmas just snuck up on them. Christmas Day is December 25 every single year. They don't change it. It's not like Thanksgiving where you have to pull out the calendar to see which day it falls on this year. It's always the same!

{Speaking of Thanksgiving - how great is it that you always know what day it's going to be on?? Thursday/Thanksgiving. There are no questions, no re-arranging, no figuring out how you are going to make it work. I think all holidays should be this way. Take Halloween for example - Halloween should ALWAYS be on a Friday or Saturday. Why?? Because trick-or-treating on a school night STINKS.}

I'm not ready for Christmas advertising. Let me enjoy Thanksgiving before you start with that mess.

Girl - your post cracks me up! I should show this to my DH. He feels the same way about Christmas stuff already be out in the stores - but then he is the one that waits until the last minute to buy presents.
