16 weeks

I mentioned last post that it would be beneficial for me to be carrying a girl. I may have mentioned, or maybe not, that I've kind of had this girl feeling all along. Even the Chinese gender prediction calendar says girl, as well as the higher heartrate we heard at the last doctor's visit. This morning someone directed me to this fun little quiz on another blog to take, Jellibee Baby. Simple, seven questions in which you mark either B for boy or G for girl. I took the quiz...and got five B's and 2 G's. Some help! I am looking forward to finally knowing, but it sure would help if all these little quizzes and what-not all pointed to the same thing. Otherwise they don't do anything but confuse you more.

I finally took one of those photos that every woman takes...a belly shot. Ugh. It's not that I don't look forward to a baby bump, which I hope I have, but I'm not a skinny girl so right now I don't look pregnant. I pretty much look like I ate a huge meal one too many times. Now that I'm into week 16 the baby is supposed to be hitting a pretty major growth spurt and gaining around 11 ounces between now and week 20...so I figured for posterity's sake I'd take a shot now so I can compare the later. Don't think that I'm ever going to be one of those chicks who bares her belly sans clothing though. I don't predict that happening at any point.

WOW! 16 weeks already! I know you might be thinking ONLY 16 weeks... So will you be sharing names or will it be a "see the baby and decide the name" sorta thing?

tee heee - so cute! ;)

ya the baby predictor worked for both my kids, go figure...

It was the one that you figure out your age at conception and what month you conceived and some magical formula says boy or girl?! ;)
