Nursery progress: Oh the Lines.

The lines...oh the lines. There are so many lines to be drawn. It's very rewarding though to complete a character and have it look so real...well as real as Dr. Seuss characters can look.

To answer a question posted in my last nursery blog update, I am using DecoColor brand paint markers to do the outlining. My Mom and I used them in our yard art business...Mom still does but I don't do much yard art anymore. Anyway, you can purchase DecoColor paint pens at Michaels. They are a bit expensive - $3.99 each. There are less expensive brands out there, but do not be fooled. When it comes to paint pens, you get what you pay for and the DecoColor are by far the best. The good news is that occasionally they go on sale but you have to be quick. The black generally sell out the first day.

Here are some more shots of my progress around the room:The fish wall is complete. I am still in love with that turquoise color. The Sneetches turned out so cute, although that yellow was a pain in the hiney to paint. It took several coats before it was solid yellow, and there are still a couple of places that I should go back over to solidify it even more. Here's the side wall...almost the whole thing. I'll be able to take pictures of the entire wall once the room is finished and all the furniture is back in place. Right now it's all squished up against the opposite wall, so I'm limited in where I can stand to take a photo.
