Ask and you shall receive

I haven't felt very well this evening. My throat is a little scratchy and I have that overall tired feeling that your body has when it's about to get sick. This evening around 8:00 I updated my Facebook status to say:

Brandi Adams Korte
doesn't feel that great. Does someone want to bake me some cookies?

A conversation followed from a few friends in which I mentioned that fresh out of the oven cookies would be best.

Fast forward to 9:30. Our doorbell rings and Nick gives me a puzzled expression. Neither of us is expecting anyone, so I jokingly said "Maybe it's my cookies!"

It was.

My sweet friend Kelle was standing at my door with a plate of fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies! She had seen my status and just couldn't resist making some for me. I'm sure her kids didn't mind one bit either. You should know that at church Kelle's chocolate chip cookies are somewhat famous. If a plate of chocolate chip cookies is spotted, someone always asks, "Are those Kelle cookies?" To have a batch made in my honor is a great thing. I was pleasantly surprised and reminded again what great friends I have.
