Playdate

Our friend Jenn is here from Kansas with her girls, Anna and Abby. They moved away last August. We're fortunate to live in such a connected world; sometimes with Facebook it's easy to pretend they are still living right down the road. Today Kate and I spent the afternoon playing with Jenn and the girls, as well as Jamie, baby Luke, Susan and baby Cassidy.

We attempted to get a group photo of the kids. They are almost 3 years, 1 year, 6 months, 6 weeks and 3 1/2 weeks.

What these photos don't capture is the mommies. I wish someone had been standing behind the kids taking our photo as Jamie and I snapped pictures and Jenn and Susan made noises and faces trying to get everyone's attention.
We started out okay. Everyone is in position, looking mostly in the same direction.Note that Luke is out, despite the noise and awkward sitting position, as was Cassidy.Poor Cassidy just kept slipping lower in Anna's lap. Abby is beginning to lose interest.Luke is still out...Cassidy is slipping lower still...Abby is done with this whole scene.
