You Are What You Keep.
I like this idea. It's simple - purge/clean/trash/donate 2011 items in 2011. Get rid of the clutter and clean up your home. I am so digging this idea because right now it seems that we have junk everywhere in this house. I don't know how, but it's like these little piles of stuff just magically appear overnight. The poor deep freezer is completely covered right now. I blame Christmas.

So, in 2011 I'm making it my goal to get rid of 2011 items from my house. I'm not counting trash or recycling either - I'm only counting actual items and craft supplies. Goodwill can get ready, because Brandi will be making many trips to see you this year! In fact I have 3 bags of clothing items that I need to drop off, but haven't done so yet. That will help me get started, even though it means I have to take all that mess out of the bags and count it. It's worth it though.

To keep it fair, if I buy something, I will account for that as well. Perhaps this will help keep the unnecessary purchases from getting out of hand, since I know I will have to be accountable for those too. If someone gives us something, it counts as well.

YAWYK 2011!!!

I think you should just count each bag as 1 item ;) you'll get to 2011 don't worry! you have 364 days!
I'm going to somehow figure out a way to pare down this nonsense in our house too!

I can't blame it on Christmas but I am so going to embrace this theory. I need to de-clutter!!
