Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day with my in-laws. They always cook a big feast and this holiday was no exception. We had barbeque, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, corn on the cob, homemade rolls, chips, and then dessert....which consisted of homemade ice cream, a Mississippi Mud pie, apple pie, and a big huge plate of homemade cinnamon rolls. It was gooooood. It was definitely not a good Weight Watchers day.
We headed down to the neighborhood pool after filling our bellies. It wasn't too crowded considering the holiday, so we swam for a little while until Kate decided she would rather run around the outside of the pool instead of stay in the water. Once the fits started, we headed back to the house. Kate played in her sandbox for a while and Nick and I took a long walk to look at some houses for sale and burn a few calories.
We put Kate back in her swimsuit for a little swim time in her own pool. She drank from the water, she tried to pour water on Yiayia, she climbed in the pool and out of the pool and in the pool and out of the pool, and eventually she started using her pool to water the tomato plants and roses.
I think little girls in tiny bathing suits have the cutest little tushies around, don't you?
