Thursday night was Meet the Teacher at Kate's new pre-school. I think Nick was more nervous than anyone. The last time he went to Meet the Teacher he was the teacher, so I don't think he quite knew what to do with himself.
Kate's teacher is going to be Mrs. Lisa, and she was very, very sweet. We liked her right away. This is her first year with Train-Up Pre-school, but she has taught previously in another place. Kate seemed very at ease with her too, although she wouldn't take a picture with her.
Each kid has a "welcome back to school" page they could color or they could play with the toys in the room while Lisa talked with the parents. She took each kid's photo in front of the door for something she was going to do for the room, and she even had cookies there that she had made for us all. Each child also got their own goodie bag to take home and it had a small tub of play-doh, bubbles, and candy inside. When we got in the car and Kate opened her bag, she said "Bubbles, play-doh and candy that you get to take home? That is awesome."
So far she's really excited about starting school on Tuesday, so hopefully come Tuesday she will be brave, and Mommy and Daddy will be brave too.
