Day 3 we woke up to an excited and ready-to-go Kate. She wanted to put her swimsuit on at 7:45, and I had to hold off and finally caved around 8:20 because she wouldn't stop asking. She was so excited! We did have a little bit of fear once we arrived, which really seemed to come out of nowhere because until it was time to get in the pool it was all she could talk about. She was hesitant and it took her about half the class to calm her fear down. After that she was fine. I think part of the problem was they began class with getting rings off the bottom of the pool, which I don't think she likes all that much. She gets some, but she still isn't a huge fan of being underwater.
This morning she was super brave and did fabulous! She got to try floating on her back today, which she's really hesitant about right now. She doesn't trust that her face isn't going to sink under the water, so it scares her being so close. She did much better than on day two of floating though, so I think she's going to be fine. If the weather will cooperate this weekend we will practice some more. Only one more week (four more lessons) of swim left!
