Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

Saturday evening Kate had a birthday party at the Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas. I had never heard of this place prior to being invited to the party, so we were both pretty excited to go and see something new. They have tons of exotic animals to enjoy and even some you can pet. We got to go on a safari through the equine pasture which houses both a zebra/donkey hybrid and a zebra/horse hybrid. Then we went through the wildlife pasture where the zebras and more were, and finally through the camel pasture where we were able to pet the camels as they ate out of the buckets on the truck.
We got to learn about lemurs and kangaroos, and the kids were able to pet a baby of each animal. We ran out of daylight before we could do the petting zoo, so we had pizza and headed out shortly after. It was pretty cold the whole time, but it didn't stop us from having a lot of fun anyway! Kate has also asked when we could go back to see more animals, so I guess we will need to plan a trip for this spring!
