This morning it was time to say goodbye to Grandpa Jim and Carol and head into Orlando to meet up with Olivia, Heather, and Will. Before we left Lithia though, Grandpa took us over to the C.S. Bill Young Regional Reservoir, where he works as a security guard, so we could drive around and look for alligators. We saw a bunch of really big ones at the ponds and even in the reservoir itself. The surrounding land is designated as a wildlife refuge. We also saw a wild hog, several types of birds, a big box turtle, and a family of something that was either more hogs or coyotes. Whatever it was, it had babies following behind.
We headed into Orlando, and Heather informed me that the weather was perfect for the pool and none of us had packed swimsuits, so we stopped by Walmart first to get swimsuits to wear before heading to check into our hotel. The grounds of our hotel are beautiful! I'll have to walk around this week and take some photos. We quickly changed and headed down to the pool for some fun.
After swimming, we cleaned up and then went back downstairs to dine in the buffet since we were all too tired to go out anywhere. The food was quite tasty though, so it worked out well.
Tomorrow, Hollywood Studios!
