We headed to Mount Pleasant for the July 4th weekend. It had been quite some time since we had headed east to visit my grandmother and cousins, so I thought it was time. We also wanted to be able to celebrate Olivia's birthday so it gave us two reasons to take the trip.
Grandma made sure the golf cart was cleaned off and ready for a few laps around the yard, since that's Kate's favorite thing to do when we are there. It shouldn't be long and she will be big enough to just drive it herself, if Daddy will let her.
I let Nikki know we were there, so she brought her kids, Tripp and Peyton, out to visit for a little while. Peyton is just a little bit older than Kate, so they really enjoy seeing each other. Tripp is about to be 2! He's a huge ball of energy and runs full throttle everywhere he goes.
After playing outside, Grandma made dinner. We had creamed potatoes, cajun rice dressing (one of my favorite things!), pinto beans and some mexican cheesecake for dessert.
