Christmas with the Hooks

For Christmas this year, we decided to do something extra fun for Olivia and Kate. I booked adjoining rooms at the Hilton Lincoln Center in Dallas near the Galleria Mall and we did an overnight stay. It worked well that we were only one exit from Nick's office, so he was able to meet us there when he left work.

We went to dinner at BJ's Brewhouse that evening, and then I took everyone over to see all the lighted trees at Vitruvian Park in Addison. We walked around the park a while since we had stuffed ourselves with dinner and dessert earlier before heading back to the hotel for the night.

The next morning we got up, packed our bags, and headed over to the Galleria Mall. We had promised the girls a trip to Build-a-Bear, and then we did some other shopping and goofing around the mall. The line for Santa wasn't long, so the girls visited him together and took a photo with him. After we shopped as long as we wanted, we left the mall for some lunch before everyone hit the road for home. It was a short overnight trip but still a lot of fun!
