I'm free. No more punching in at the Home Depot. What an incredible feeling. I arrived at work today an hour early so I could leave earlier than they had scheduled me. I figured I was entitled. As it was my last day they should really just be happy I showed up.
Jenn & I went to lunch, as it was our last official "Home Depot lunch" together. I'm sure we'll go again. Why not? We're friends.
So I begin 2 weeks of nothingness. Laundry, painting, gardening, scrapbooking, traveling, and just being me. Sometimes I forget who I am, being so wrapped up in my unhappiness at my job. But now I can come back and life can begin to make sense again, to feel good again.
I don't think it will sink in that I don't have to go back for a few days, when I don't actually go back. It just feels like a regular day off tomorrow right now.
I hope they survive without me.

Enjoy your new found freedom! I hope you get lots of scrapping in and whatever else your huge warm heart desires!
I wish you much success on your new journey. :~) (((hugs)))
P.S. Nick WILL make it! he has you, how could he not?!
Congrats on finishing the job & feeling good about it! Always nice to be able to walk away with a smile on your face!
You said you have 2 weeks off -- what will you be doing after that? Starting a new job? Whatever it is, I hope you like it more than you did Home Depot.
Have fun creating for these 2 weeks!
