I had another visit with my eye doctor today (they are going to put me on the payroll soon, I'm there every day) and he shed light on the source of the Big White Blob. It's nothing I did wrong or anything bad - simply put, my cornea is still healing on my right eye. The left eye has made faster progress, so there's no white blob on that side. He told me to keep using my drops and -gasp- I don't have to go back until Wednesday when he will check my progress again.
I read lines again today - sadly my right eye just did not perform well, but I'm happy to report that my left eye was prepared and did not let me down. I was able to read a smaller line that my last visit.
Funny story - this morning my alarm went off at 6:30. It's the first day since my surgery that I've actually got up at that time. Since I'd been taking my pain medication and sleeping pills that the eye doc gave me last week I've slept a little longer and gone in to work later than usual. I haven't had to use any pain meds since Thursday night, so this morning it was back to the daily grind, so they say. I guess I was a bit confused when the alarm went off because I spent probably 30 seconds feeling around for my glasses on the nightstand before I realized that they weren't going to be there because I don't need them anymore. LOL

WOO HOO!!! Love your morning story!!! what a great feeling that has to be =o) I'm so glad to hear how well you're doing.
That's cute that you were feeling for your glasses! I did that at first too... and even now (almost 10 months after lasik) when I'm going to bed I sometimes reach up to remove my glasses (which are no longer there!)
Hope the white blog goes away soon - that sounds awful! (((hugs)))
Hopefully the Big White Blob will go away soon. I can't imagine "seeing" that all day.
