I love the Olympics! Swimming, diving, gymnastics, cycling, rowing, running.....I even watched fencing a little bit the other day. I don't normally watch these types of sports on Tv, except during the Olympics. I am not quite sure why either, especially when it comes to swimming. I love watching it, and people like Michael Phelps make it that much more exciting. Perhaps I should start paying more attention to the sport all the time.
I'm one of those people who scream at the TV at the top of her lungs, rooting on my guy and hoping for the gold. I cry when they win, I cry when they lose, and I cry when the get their medal. Nothing is better than when they sing the National Anthem with tears sparkling in their eyes. I am kind of annoyed by the ones who don't sing along, but I am singing loud enough for us both I think. (Did you hear that, Phelps? Sing the anthem!!!) Vanderkaay sang the other night and I was so proud for him.
This morning I was the first person at my local Wal-Mart to the greatest hits CD from the New Kids on the Block. How do I know I was the first? Well I stopped by on my way into the office and was looking around but couldn't find it. I asked a nice little old lady who was stocking the shelves and she had to take it out of the cardboard box for me. They weren't even on the shelf yet. Yes, I am a true fan. I went ahead and spent the extra $1 to get the boxed set with DVD! I can't wait to sit down and watch it. Junior high, here I come.
