VBS fun

The past couple of years I have been the official photographer of VBS at church. It's a fun job, because I get to wander around all night to the various activities and classes, capturing photos of the kids smiling faces and getting the chance to experience everything rather than being stuck in one particular activity. I'm more of a behind the scenes person anyway, so this is a nice place for me to use my talents.

These are some of my favorite shots from the week, so far:
This little one is a doll. She was in Totally Toga, Amber's fabulous toga shop trying on the fashions of ancient Rome and the jewels to match. She would not stop posing. I think I took 7 pictures of her alone. So cute.
Singing shots are always fun because you never know what expression or pose you're going to end up with. Sometimes the adults are a little embarrased, but that's just part of the fun, right?
The chariot rides last night were a big hit, except for the few children who were dumped on the ground during turn 1.

I don't know which people were responsible for putting together the Roman soldier costumes, but they are fabulous. I'm quite impressed, even if Brandon does have one of his shin guards turned around backwards. I told them to look tough and forbidding when I snapped this...but deep down we all know that this displays their true personalities a lot better:

I love the little boy in the singing shot with his head all thrown back! He's totally into it! I'm so glad you and Jamie are able to do this!

Those are a lot of happy kids! And YES the Roman outfits are wonderful - someone in your group is an amazing seamstress! Thank you for sharing with us, B!

Yeah, isn't Piper hilarious? Her mama has trained her well to smile at cameras!
