First Easter

Kate turned 5 months old the day after Easter. That means that she neither noticed nor cared that she didn't get to participate in any kind of Easter-like festivities, like an egg hunt. It would have been rather silly for me to "hide" a few eggs and then have to show them to her and put them in her basket for her. Nor would she have understood if the Easter Bunny left her a basket of goodies, although Mommy would have eaten all the chocolate for her.

The only sign that Easter passed for Kate is the adorable purple bunny her grandma bought for her.

I didn't even get pictures of her or the family on Sunday all dressed for church because we were running late beforehand, and after church Kate had drooled so much on her dress that it was no longer photo worthy.

Next year Kate will be 17 months old during Easter time, and that's when the real fun will begin. Poor kid will probably have to hunt eggs 5 or 6 times so that every family member feels like they got to share in the holiday with her. I'm sure she won't mind.
