We had another Friday swim play date today. Kate didn't really do so well in the water this time around. It wasn't chilly, but the kids kept splashing near her and I think it scares her so she wasn't very happy. If she understood just how long it took me to get the swim diaper on her, then the swimsuit, the sunscreen, the hat, and finally get her into her floatie thing she might be more inclined to attempt to enjoy herself.
She spent most of her time sitting on a pool float on the sidewalk playing with her butterfly until I finally gave up and just got her dressed again. Maybe next swim date we'll just skip the pool and enjoy chatting with everyone from the lounge chairs the whole time. It's a lot of work for her to cry for 45 minutes.
She sure looks cute though.
