Meeting the Curreys

Last night we went to dinner with some of Nick's high school friends who are now husband and wife. How cute is that? I love it when people who grew up together end up married. They get to say things like "we've been married for X years but we've known each other for some-really-long-number-that-shocks-you." and then I'm jealous.Anyway, we met Brandon, Danielle and their two adorable kiddos at a place called Hickory Falls that has THE BEST ROLLS EVER, and I know bread. I'm pretty sure I could've just eaten 3 or 4 baskets of rolls and skipped my steak and garlic mashed potatoes, but they were really tasty too so I'll just be happy for the rolls I did eat. Kate ate two and a half of them herself! But the point is not the food; it's the company. After dinner the grown-ups were not finished talking and the kiddos were not happy sitting still, so we went to a large park so they could run around and we could visit some more. We stayed out past their little one's bedtime, and despite having fun chasing the fireflies....er, sorry; lightening bugs, the mosquitos drove us back to our cars and we parted ways.
